Job Description

JobPrism is looking for Advanced Nurse Practitioners to support a busy GP practice in Nottingham.

You will manage same-day demand with autonomous clinical decision-making.

Up to 3 days a week available with flexible session options.

Role Snapshot
• Primary care ANP clinics with a mix of acute presentations and long-term condition support.

Key Responsibilities
• Undertake advanced clinical assessments including history taking and examination
• Diagnose, treat, and discharge patients within agreed scope and practice protocols
• Prescribe safely as an independent prescriber where applicable
• Request and interpret investigations and act on results
• Manage acute presentations and provide safety-netting and follow-up plans
• Refer and signpost to community and secondary care services appropriately
• Contribute to clinical documentation and coding to a high standard
• Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and the wider MDT
• Support quality improvement and clinical governance activity as required
• Provide advice and supervision to junior staff when appropriate

Working Pattern
• Up to 3 days per week available
• Flexible start and finish times depending on clinic set-up
• Mix of face-to-face and telephone activity as required by the practice
• Sessions can be arranged as 4-hour or full-day blocks

Requirements
• Registered Nurse with NMC registration
• ANP qualification or equivalent advanced practice experience in primary care
• Independent Prescriber status preferred
• Confident managing minor illness and urgent presentations autonomously
• Strong knowledge of long-term condition management in a GP setting
• Competent with clinical systems and high-quality record keeping
• Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK
