Job Description
JobPrism is looking for Practice Nurses in Millom.
You will deliver routine nursing clinics including immunisations, wound care and long-term condition support.
Flexible sessions available up to 2 days per week, with consistent weekly clinics if preferred.
Role Snapshot
• Practice nurse sessions focused on high-quality treatment room and chronic disease care.
Key Responsibilities
• Run treatment room clinics including dressings, ear care and injections
• Deliver immunisations and vaccinations in line with national guidance
• Support long-term condition monitoring such as asthma, COPD and diabetes checks
• Undertake cervical cytology where trained and competent
• Maintain accurate records and coding on the clinical system
• Work with the wider team to ensure recall, follow-up and patient education
Working Pattern
• Part-time, locum or temporary options available
• Up to 2 days per week with flexible session times
• Clinic-based work with clear appointment templates
Requirements
• NMC registration and recent experience as a Practice Nurse in the UK
• Competence in immunisations, wound care and treatment room duties
• Cytology qualification desirable where applicable
• Confident using EMIS or SystmOne and recording activity accurately
• Up-to-date mandatory training including safeguarding and BLS
