Job Description
JobPrism is looking for Nurse Practitioners in Galston.
You will manage minor illness and routine primary care presentations within a supportive clinical team.
Flexible sessions available up to 3 days per week, with consistent weekly options if wanted.
Role Snapshot
• Primary care NP clinics with defined templates and straightforward escalation.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting with minor illness
• Deliver structured long-term condition reviews as required by the service
• Request and interpret investigations and implement management plans
• Provide clear advice, safety-netting and follow-up arrangements
• Maintain accurate documentation and clinical coding on the practice system
• Liaise with GPs, pharmacists and community services to coordinate care
Working Pattern
• Contract, locum or temporary sessions available depending on preference
• Up to 3 days per week with flexible session times
• Predominantly face-to-face with some telephone reviews by agreement
Requirements
• NMC registration with evidence of advanced or extended practice competence
• Recent UK primary care experience in a Nurse Practitioner capacity
• Independent Prescriber preferred where required by clinic scope
• Confident using EMIS or SystmOne with consistent coding standards
• Up-to-date mandatory training including safeguarding
