Job Description

JobPrism is looking for Practice Nurses to support a modern GP practice nursing team in Cheadle.

You will deliver core treatment room duties and long-term condition support.

Up to 2 days a week available with flexibility on sessions.

Role Snapshot
• Treatment room and chronic disease support with a friendly, organised nursing setup.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide routine practice nurse appointments including wound care and dressings
• Administer immunisations and vaccinations in line with PGDs and protocols
• Perform cervical screening and opportunistic health promotion
• Support long-term condition monitoring such as asthma, COPD, and diabetes checks
• Undertake blood pressure reviews and NHS health checks where appropriate
• Maintain accurate clinical records, coding, and recalls
• Ensure infection prevention and control standards are followed
• Participate in safeguarding awareness and escalation processes

Working Pattern
• Up to 2 days per week
• Flexible session structure to suit availability
• Clinic templates agreed with the practice in advance

Requirements
• NMC registration
• Recent experience as a Practice Nurse in UK primary care
• Competent in immunisations, cervical cytology, and treatment room skills
• Knowledge of chronic disease monitoring and recall systems
• Confident using clinical systems and maintaining high-quality documentation
• Enhanced DBS and UK right to work
